The NBM will publish the Synthesis of Kroll Investigation as soon as receives it with the Second Report

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) informs that it has not yet received the second investigation report of the companies Kroll and Steptoe & Johnson, but has finalized the discussions held with the International Consortium on the possibility of publishing certain information, which the document will contain.

The companies Kroll and Steptoe & Johnson agreed to develop a synthesis which will be released to the public, following a solicitation of the Republic of Moldova authorities, who underlined the importance of informing the public and the development partners about the results of the investigation without prejudicing the chances of recovery of embezzled assets.

Thus, the National Bank will publish the synthesis of the report, which follows to be forwarded by the International Consortium. At the same time, the working documents which include detailed analyzes of tracking the embezzled funds will be sent to competent organs of the Republic of Moldova.

The representatives of the companies Kroll and Steptoe & Johnson reconfirmed their readiness to collaborate with the investigation and prosecution organs after the delivery of the report, in order to support the effort of recovery of embezzled goods at international scale and to strengthen the evidence basis of the procedures initiated at national level.
