Octavian Armasu attended the Central Banks Governors’ Club of the Central Asia, Black Sea Region and Balkan Countries

 

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armasu, attended the 41st meeting of the Central Banks Governors’ Club of the Central Asia, Black Sea Region and Balkan Countries, held on 24-26 March 2019, in Istanbul, Turkey. 

The meeting focused on global economic and financial insights. At the same time, topics related to the implementation of reforms and building more resilient financial systems were brought into discussion at the meeting. Similarly, The Governors’ Club discussed about issues related to central banks’ governance and their communication aiming at a more efficient implementation of monetary policy.

The Central Banks’ Governors Club is a platform for discussing global and regional economic developments, exchange of experience and debates on cooperation opportunities.

The Club was established in 1998 with the aim of ensuring the economic and financial cooperation of the member countries in the banking sector. The forum gathers 26 members: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, China, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Hungary.
