The main features of the coin
The coin has a round form with a circular rim that stands out across the edge of both the obverse and reverse sides.
The obverse and reverse of the coin are silver-golden: the interior - golden, the exterior - silver.
The coin has a customized milled edge with the lettering „*MOLDOVA*MOLDOVA”.
The image of the obverse and reverse sides of the coin is determined by rotating the coin on its vertical axis at 180 degrees.

Description:
Obverse:
the coin background is divided into two parts, resembling the sun and moon, as symbol of time continuity, of the past and present;
at the right the figure of the lion is depicted as visual symbol of the name of Moldovan currency – leu;
at the left – part, the State coat of arms of the Republic of Moldova and the BNM logo;
in the exergue, following the coin circumference, the inscription "25 DE ANI DE LA INTRODUCEREA MONEDEI NAȚIONALE" is engraved.
Reverse:
in the foreground - the face value "10 LEI" and the year of issue 2018;
following the coin circumference, 25 stars are engraved, representing the number of years since the introduction of the national currency in the Republic of Moldova;
at the top, in the exergue - the monogram with capital letters "R" and "M" (the acronym of the country’s name “Republica Moldova”)
in latent image (hidden images, which are alternately visible by tilting the reverse side of the coin left and right);
on the surface of the digit of the coin a security feature is applied – the micro-engraving with the legend “BNM”.
