The National Bank of Moldova hosted a ceremony to award certificates of merit and prizes to the winners of the quiz held as part of the "Financial Education Camp," organised by the central bank and the Independent Think Tank "Expert-Grup" in August 2025.
The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, addressed the young participants with an encouraging message, emphasising the role of financial education in the community and the importance of awareness in adapting to the continuous changes in the financial environment that characterise modernity.
"Investing in financial education is one of the most valuable investments for the economic future of the Republic of Moldova. The fact that over 400 young people chose to participate in this camp demonstrates a strong interest in gaining knowledge and a desire to take responsibility for their personal financial decisions in building prosperity. Financial education opens horizons to understand economic mechanisms, evaluate risks, and recognize the opportunities offered by the financial environment," said the Governor of the National Bank.
Ms. Anca Dragu presented the young participants with awards in a festive setting, encouraging them once again to assert their desire for knowledge and their need to explore the field of economics. The participants shared their impressions of the camp experience with joy and excitement, having discovered the practical utility of financial knowledge. The young people stated that they had gained a very interesting learning experience and were determined to develop and focus firmly on a financial perspective.
The "Financial Education Camp" aimed to provide young people with the educational resources necessary to stimulate critical thinking mechanisms, which are essential in the financial decision-making process.
