A delegation from the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), led by Governor Anca Dragu, paid a working visit to the State Mint of Romania today. The purpose of the visit was to develop an efficient partnership, with a special focus on issuing commemorative and jubilee coins to promote the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova.
The visit's agenda included discussions with representatives of the Mint about the technical processes and modern technologies used in creating commemorative coins, as well as the rigorous quality and security standards applied at each stage of production.
NBM representatives also had the opportunity to explore the Mint's production workshops and observe each stage of the coin-making process, from design and engraving to casting and stamping.
"This visit provides an excellent opportunity to develop our collaboration in the field of numismatic collections and is an important step in strengthening bilateral relations. We aim to realize valuable projects that reflect the richness of Moldova's cultural heritage and promote these values to the general public", said Governor Anca Dragu.
The delegation included Deputy Governor Constantin Șchendra, who heads the Cash Operations Division.
The National Bank of Moldova is the single authority entitled to issue commemorative and jubilee coins within the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
