Starting from 26 December 2025, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) is launching into numismatic circulation two commemorative coins: “Petre Teodorovici - 75 years since birth”, which completes the series “Personalities”, and “80 years since the establishment of the “Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova”, which completes the series “Others”.
The coin “Petre Teodorovici - 75 years since birth” is dedicated to the great composer and light music singer, Master Emeritus of Arts and holder of the “Glory of Labor” Order, who created and performed numerous songs that became true hits of the time, including “Santa Maria Maggiore”, “Scrisul nostru”, “Veniți acasă”, “Ultima oră”, “Vara la Soroca”, and many others. These melodies touched the hearts of the public, expressing with sensitivity and power deep feelings of love for the country. Through his works, Petre Teodorovici contributed enormously to the consolidation of Romanian cultural heritage.

For its outstanding achievements in the field of education and health, the institution was awarded the “Glory of Labor” Order in 2005 and the Order of the Republic in 2015.
