The user survey on statistics of the external sector of Moldova is aimed at finding the vision of data users from different spheres of activity on the information published on the official web-page of the National Bank of Moldova in terms of quality,  presentation, frequency, level of detail and convenience in the process of searching and viewing.
We invite you to expose your opinion on external sector statistics and publications disseminated on www.bnm.md so we can adapt the information to your needs, within the competence of the institution.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and anonymous.

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armasu, participated in the inauguration of “FINPractice” - Practical continuous training center for finance specialists in the Republic of Moldova, hosted by the Centre for Excellence in Economics and Finance of Chisinau.

During the last two months, more than 400 pupils and students from Chișinău, Bălți, Cahul and Ungheni, attended the information sessions organized by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) in partnership with “Expert-Grup” that jointly conduct the financial education project "Learn! Give Sense to Money".

The Automated Interbank Payment System (AIPS) is composed of Real-Time Gross Settlement and the Designated-time Net Settlement system.

On 25-31 March 2019, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will conduct a set of activities within the Global Money Week 2019 under the theme "Learn. Save. Earn".

The RR is a complementary instrument of the monetary policy, which is used to control the level of excess liquidity as well as to mitigate its impact on interbank interest rates.

The International accounts of the Republic of Moldova comprise the balance of payments, international investment position and gross external debt, the compilation of which is one of the core functions of the National Bank of Moldova (according to the Law on the National Bank of Moldova no.548-XIII of 21 July 1995).

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM), the National Commission for Financial Markets (NCFM), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, and the Centre for Excellence in Economics and Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding for training specialists in the financial and banking field.

CHIBOR and CHIBID reference rates shall be determined by the fixing agent (Bloomberg Finance L.P) every working day at 11:00 a.m. local time, by applying the rules laid down in the Regulation on CHIBOR and CHIBID reference rates.

Statistics

The commemorative coins are issued by the NBM, have numismatic value and can be used as means of payment. NBM floats these currencies through licensed banks.

The banking sector in Republic of Moldova consists from two levels: the NBM and commercial banks. The activity of the NBM, as a regulating and supervising authority for banks is based on the Law on the NBM. Law on Financial institutions is the basic law governing the activities of financial institutions, including banks.

The first national campaign for financial inclusion related to promotion of the non-cash payments, with financial support of the European Fund and Development Facility for South - East Europe (EFSE).
