2018

In September 2018, the annual inflation rate recorded a level of 2.4%, 0.8 pp. lower than in the previous month.

In July 2018, the annual inflation rate recorded 3.0%, decreasing by 0.2 pp. compared to the previous month. In accordance with the previous forecast, the inflation rate records, for the third consecutive month, a level situated below the lower limit of the inflation rate interval of ± 1.5 pp. from the 5.0% target.

In June 2018, the annual inflation rate constituted 3.2%, by 0.4 percentage points higher than in the previous month, and was placed for the second month, according to previously published forecasts, below the lower limit of the variation range of ± 1.5 percentage points from the 5.0% target.

In May 2018, the annual inflation rate recorded 2.8%, a level by 0.9 pp. lower than in the previous month, thus falling, as forecasted, below the lower limit of the variation range of ± 1.5 pp. from the 5.0% target.

In January 2018, the annual inflation rate constituted 6.5 percent, being by 0.8 percentage points lower than in the previous month and reaching the upper limit of the variation range of ± 1.5 percentage points from the 5.0 percent target.

In December 2017, the annual inflation rate constituted 7.3%, being similar to that of the previous month. The dynamics was determined by the nature of the supply factors, by the effect of a low basic period in 2016 and by the adjustment of certain tariffs to the utility services.

2017

In November 2017, the annual inflation rate dropped to 7.3%, having decreased by 0.6 pp. compared to the previous month.

In July 2017, annual inflation rate was 7.3 percent, being similar to that of the previous month and in line with the NBM last forecast.

In June 2017, annual inflation rate was 7.3 percent, by 0.1 percentage points lower than the previous month, and continued to be above the upper limit of the range of 5.0 percent ± 1.5 percentage points. 

In March 2017, the annual inflation rate was 5.1 percent, increasing by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous month and was within the target range of 5.0 percent with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points.

In January 2017, the annual inflation rate was 3.0, increasing by 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous month and was below the lower limit of the range ± 1.5 percentage points from the 5.0 percent target.

2016

In November 2016, the annual inflation rate accounted for 2.6 percent, increasing by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month. For the third consecutive month, this is below the lower limit of the range of ± 1.5 percentage points from the 5.0 percent target.

In October 2016, the annual inflation rate accounted for 2.5 percent, decreasing by 0.5 percentage points compared to September.

In September 2016, the annual inflation rate was 3.0 percent for the last twelve months, by 0.6 percentage points lower than the previous month, leaving the lower limit of the range of ± 1.5 percentage points from the 5.0 percent target, after reaching in August the aforementioned range.

In August 2016, the growth rate of consumer prices index (CPI) for the last 12 months was 3.6 percent, by 3.4 percentage points less compared to the previous month. After 18 months of stay outside the range, it returned within the range of ± 1.5 percentage points from 5.0 percent target.

In July 2016, consumer prices index (CPI) for the last 12 months constituted 7.0 percent, decreasing by 0.4 percentage points versus the previous month, continuing to exceed the upper limit of the range of variation of ± 1.5 percentage points from 5.0 percent inflation target.
