The NBM is making efforts to make the Republic of Moldova even more accessible for investments

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, was the special guest of a discussion platform organised by the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bucharest.

Anca Dragu spoke about economic stability, consolidation and establishment of new trade relations, financial intermediation and expansion of sustainable and successful businesses on the capital market of the Republic of Moldova.

The Governor also mentioned the recent monetary policy decisions of the NBM, which brought inflation to the 5% target - a level considered optimal for the development of the economy in the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, Anca Dragu referred to the implementation by the NBM of the most innovative measures in the payment system, which advance the economic digitalization of the country.

The Head of the Central Bank reiterated that the Republic of Moldova provides a favourable environment for investment, and whoever hesitates now might regret it in 5-10 years. The Governor noted that the economic potential of the Republic of Moldova can be attractive to the Romanian-German business community, which, in turn, can offer Moldovan companies new business partnerships.

The General Manager of the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sebastian Metz, assured that the AHK will continue to contribute to the strengthening of trilateral relations between Romania, Germany and the Republic of Moldova.

The AHK Romania platform for doing Business in the Republic of Moldova was launched in November 2023 with the aim to provide member companies with the information and support needed to take advantage of investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova.
