NBM and Junior Achievement Moldova will cooperate to increase financial education of young people

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and the Public Association "Junior Achievement Moldova" (JA Moldova) signed a cooperation agreement to promote financial education. This partnership aims to raise awareness and educate the population, with a special focus on young people.

The agreement signed by NBM Governor, Anca Dragu, and JA Moldova President, Alexandru Stratan, in the context of Education Week "Moldova for Education", provides for the development of information materials on basic financial concepts and products, as well as the organisation of activities to promote responsible financial behaviour.

"As the national coordinator of the financial education process, the National Bank of Moldova opts to expand the range of actors willing to get involved in this process. Through this collaboration, we aim to increase the level of financial knowledge among the population and contribute to the formation of a balanced and informed financial behavior," said Anca Dragu.

"Our joint efforts will facilitate better management of resources to develop the financial and entrepreneurial culture of young people, which will inspire them to new achievements in the future. This collaboration will provide a platform for young people to discover basic financial tools, learn how to responsibly manage financial resources for their future life and professions", said Alexandru Stratan.

JA Moldova is a public association whose mission is to motivate and prepare the young generation to succeed in the market economy. Junior Achievement has been active in Moldova since 1995 and is a member of the JA Worldwide network - the largest and most dynamic organisation focused on economic and entrepreneurship education, present in 115 countries.
