People wishing to buy a mint set containing the four new coins with face value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 lei are invited to apply

Following numerous requests received from public institutions, commercial organizations, travel agencies and citizens who are interested in buying the mint sets for their numismatic collections or as a souvenir, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) decided to issue the mint set containing coins with face value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 lei.

Before placing the production order, the NBM invites its potential buyers to indicate the tentative quantities they would like to purchase, with no contractual obligations attached at this stage, by sending a preliminary request to the e-mail address operatiuni.numerar@bnm.md before 31 October 2018.

In addition to the four coins presented on the obverse and reverse, the set will include a description of the technical specifications and security features of the coins, as well as their legend in Romanian and English languages.

Government institutions will be able to purchase the new mint set directly from the NBM, whereas other buyers, such as legal entities and individuals - from the licensed banks.

The new mint set contains coins with face value of 1, 2, 5 and 10 lei from a new series that was officially introduced into circulation on 28 February 2018.
