Валовой внешний долг Республики Молдова увеличился в 2016 году  на 213.45 млн. долл. США (или на 3.3% ) и достиг 6,594.69 млн. долл. США по состоянию на 31.12.2016.

Согласно предварительным данным, в 2016 году дефицит текущего счета платежного баланса Республики Молдова составил 276.58млн. долл. США (на 33.3% меньше по сравнению с 2015 годом), счет операций с капиталом зафиксировал дефицит в сумме 46.71 млн. долл. США, а финансовый счет - чистый приток равный 289.99 млн. долларов США.

Международная инвестиционная позиция по состоянию на 31.12.2016 зафиксировала чисто-дебиторское сальдо, которое составило 5,979.23 млн. долларов США, на 7.0% меньше по сравнению с концом 2015 года.

Официальные резервные активы на 31 марта 2017 года исчислялись на уровне 2,256.45 млн. долларов США, на 20.93 млн. долларов США больше по сравнению с 28 февраля 2017 г., когда они составляли 2,235.52 млн. долларов США.

La 31 martie 2017, activele oficiale de rezervă au constituit 2,256.45 mil. dolari SUA, în creștere cu 20.93 mil. dolari SUA în comparație cu 28 februarie 2017, când acestea au însumat  2,235.52 mil. dolari SUA.

According to preliminary data, in 2016, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 276.58 million (down by 33.3 percent as compared to 2015), the capital account registered a deficit of US$ 46.71 million and the financial account recorded a net inflow of US$ 289.99 million. 

The international investment position of the Republic of Moldova recorded a net debit of US$ 5,979.23 million as of 31.12.2016, 7.0% larger as compared to the end of 2015.

The gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova reached US$ 6,594.69 million at the end of 2016, increasing by US$ 213.45 million (3.3%) as compared to the end of 2015.
