National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.
Financial stability is achieved by strengthening the resilience of the financial system, limiting the contagion effect and reducing the accumulation of systemic risks, thus contributing to the sustainability of the financial sector and economic growth.
National Bank shall have the exclusive right to issue on the territory of the Republic of Moldova banknotes and coins as legal tender, as well as commemorative and jubilee banknotes and coins as legal tender and for numismatic purposes.
National Bank of Moldova acts as banker and fiscal agent of the State and shall receive from state bodies economic and financial information and documents, which are necessary for carrying out its tasks.
National Bank shall inform the public on the monetary policy strategy on the results of the macroeconomic analysis, the evolution of the financial market and on statistics, including with regard to monetary supply, crediting, balance of payments and the state of the foreign exchange market.
National Bank of Moldova is responsable for the compilation of the balance of payments, international investment position and the statistics of the external debt of the Republic of Moldova.

Объявление о проведении переписи населения и жилищ с 8 апреля по 7 июля 2024 года
С 8 апреля по 7 июля 2024 года в Республике Молдова пройдет Перепись населения и жилищ (ПНЖ). Перепись населения — это общенациональное мероприятие, которое проводится раз в 10 лет. Цель переписи — получение статистических данных о численности и территориальном распределении населения страны и жилищ. В ходе переписи собираются данные о каждом члене домохозяйства (например, год и место рождения, место жительства, язык общения, уровень образования, род занятий и т. д.), а также данные о жилье (например, наличие системы канализации и водоснабжения, типе отопления, площади жилища и материалах, из которых оно построено и др.).
Начиная с 8 апреля, переписчик придет к вам домой и задаст вопросы из переписного вопросника, ответы на которые будут внесены в планшет. Он обязательно предъявит свое удостоверение переписчика и будет носить одежду с идентификационными знаками ПНЖ, включая: жилет, кепку, футболку, рюкзак, а также планшет, все с логотипом Перепись 2024.
Каждый человек должен принять участие в переписи и ответить подробно и правильно на переписной вопросник. Согласно закону № 231/2022 о переписи населения и жилищ, участие в переписи обязательное.

Данные, которые вы предоставите в ходе переписи конфиденциальные и защищены в соответствии с Законом № 231/2022 о переписи населения и жилищ и Законом № 93/2017 об официальной статистике. Они будут использоваться только в статистических целях для разработки и распространения в обобщенном виде результатов переписи по различным характеристикам населения, без возможности идентификации персональных данных.
Участие в переписи является как юридическим, так и гражданским долгом. Данные, собранные в ходе переписи, станут основой для проектов развития на уровне населенных пунктов и страны. Участвуя в переписи, мы способствуем лучшему пониманию своего сообщества. Ответы будут использованы для получения статистических данных, которые дадут представление о жизни в Республике Молдова и о том, как она меняется.
