DECISION
nr. 142 from 02 June 2017
On the designation of systems that fall under the Law no. 183 of 22 July 2016 on the settlement finality in payment and financial instruments settlement systems
(in force since 9 June 2017)
Pursuant to Article 13(1) of Law no. 183 of 22 July 2016 on the Settlement Finality in Payment and Financial Instruments Settlement Systems (Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, no. 306-313, Article 653), with further amendments and addenda, Articles 5(1) letter f), 11(1), 491(2) letter b) of Law no. 548-XIII of 21 July 1995 on the National Bank of Moldova (republished in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2015, no. 297-300, Article 544), with further amendments and addenda, the Executive Board of the National Bank of Moldova
DECIDES:
To designate as system that falls under the Law no. 183 of 22 July 2016 on the Settlement Finality in Payment and Financial Instruments Settlement Systems:
a) Automated Interbank Payment System (AIPS), consisting of the Real-time Gross Settlement System (RTGS system) and the Designated-time Net Settlement System (DNS system), owned and managed by the National Bank of Moldova;
b) Securities Book-Entry System (SBES) that is a depositing and settlement system of financial instruments issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova and the National Bank of Moldova, owned and managed by the National Bank of Moldova.
