According to preliminary data, in 2021, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 1 590,13 million (US$ 336,31 in Quarter IV, 2021), increased by 78,2% (+5,9% in Quarter IV, 2021). As a ratio to GDP, the current account amounted to -11,6%.

The capital account registered a negative balance amounting to US$ 50,96 million (US$ 9,31 in Quarter IV, 2021), and the financial account recorded a net capital inflow of US$ 1 602,58 million (US$ 301,44 in Quarter IV, 2021).
