The National Bank of Moldova is hosting an OECD mission in the field of financial education

The mission of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), visiting Chisinau on 24-26 October 2018, is intended to assess the financial education in the Republic of Moldova. During the meetings held at the NBM’s headquarters, the members of the mission are to meet with the representatives of public authorities, the banking sector, as well as non-governmental organizations to discuss the Republic of Moldova’s priorities in the field of financial education, in the context of a new technical assistance project to be funded by the Dutch Ministry of Finance and implemented under the patronage of the OECD and the International Network on Financial Education (INFE).

The five-year project (2018-2022) aims at implementing and strengthening financial education initiatives in the Republic of Moldova and other participating countries from the region, such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Romania.

Founded in 1961, the OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. The OECD's mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
