Residential property price index (RPPI), 3rd quarter 2022

 

As of the end of the 3rd quarter of 2022, the offer price for residential property in Chișinău has recorded a decrease for the first time after the increasing trend established since the 1st quarter of 2020. As of the end of the reporting period, the RPPI has registered the value of 137.9 percent, which is a 1.1 percent decrease compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022 and a 10.4 percent increase compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021.



 

The RPPI associated to the new dwellings listed on the primary market has registered the value of 147.8 percent, that is a 1.6 percent decrease compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022 and a 12.6 percent increase compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021.

The RPPI associated to dwellings listed on the secondary market has registered the value of 132.2 percent, that is a 1.1 percent decrease compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022 and a 9.1 percent increase compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021.

It should be noticed that in the current iteration, the data related to the RPPI index have been updated for the first and the second quarter of 2022, following the adjustment of the weights used for the stratification of the primary and secondary market, based on the latest data on the amount of real estate transactions registered by the Cadastral Department of the Public Services Agency.
