Thus, the event planned by the central bank will be attended by representatives of public institutions, civil society, pupils and students from the Republic of Moldova and partners within financial education projects in the country and abroad.

Also, the first day of the Global Money Week will be marked by the conclusion of a Partnership Agreement between the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova. Joint efforts in this regard supports citizens providing them with the information they need daily to become familiar and interact with the financial environment.

"There are more and more people who want to know what financial concepts mean and this is understandable. Every year, changes take place locally and internationally in all areas. Today, we live in a new reality, with great challenges and new trials, which determine us to adapt our decisions to current developments and trends. In the Republic of Moldova, the reforms have brought progress in the banking sector, which nowadays is strong, stable and well-capitalized, and we certainly intend to keep and even improve what we have achieved. In this sense, the National Bank of Moldova is taking the necessary measures to ensure the financial stability of our country", says the Governor of the National Bank, Octavian Armașu.

During the event, there will be an online workshop (ZOOM) for young people interested in the financial subject, which will be organized under the financial education project "Give sense to money" implemented by the National Bank in partnership with the Independent Analytical Centre "Expert-Grup".

Thus, the participants will find out or deepen their knowledge regarding the financial system in our country and the specific rights of payment users, etc.

Another workshop will be organized in collaboration with the Economic Press Club for the students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, State University of Moldova.
