A suspended non-bank payment service provider is changing its name

The payment service provider “Artosis” S.R.L. submitted a request to the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) to redefine its license for the e-money issuance activity, as a result of changing the company’s name to “BPAY” S.R.L. and the legal address, after that, on 9 August 2018, the NBM suspended, for a period of six months, the company’s license to provide payment services and e-money issuance.

Following the request examination, the NBM Executive Board took the decision on redefining the license, but not on resuming the company’s activity.

The National Bank specifies that the decision of the NBM Executive Board, by which the company’s activity was suspended, maintains its legal effects. Therefore, “BPAY” S.R.L. will be able to operate, based on the redefined license, only after the expiration of the six-month period since the date of 9 August 2018, 5 p.m.

See the press release on “Artosis” S.R.L. activity’s suspension.
