On International Children's Day, the NBM invites the little ones to an interactive educational experience

On International Children's Day, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will be with the little ones for the second consecutive year at a truly special event, designed to bring children the joy of creating and learning in a fun and exciting way. The event, organised under the theme "Accept the CHALLENGE! Live the ADVENTURE!", will take place on 1 June 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, in the "Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt" Public Garden in Chișinău, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Republican Center for Children and Youth "ARTICO".

In this regard, the Governor of the National Bank, Anca Dragu, emphasises the importance of financial education for the younger generation: "From an early age, children can learn through games and interactive activities how to appreciate the value of money and the importance of savings. It is our responsibility to provide them with these tools so that, as they grow up, they become informed citizens capable of making responsible financial decisions. By participating in such events, the National Bank aims to make financial education an integral part of our children's lives."

A creative and fun event for children

Children are invited to discover a fascinating world where financial education comes to life through games, experiments, and interactive challenges. The National Bank of Moldova will be alongside the young participants, offering them the chance to explore a universe full of learning, presented in a friendly and accessible way. They will learn about the history of coins, discover the security features of banknotes, and ask questions of the NBM experts present at the event.

What children will discover at the National Bank’s stand

The NBM will present a mini-exhibition of commemorative and jubilee coins from the "Childhood Fairy Tales" series, each piece telling a different story. Children will have the opportunity to explore the design and meaning of the coins, as well as the security features of banknotes. They will also learn interesting details about the money production process directly from specialists.

In addition, young participants will receive attractively illustrated educational materials designed to explain financial concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

Challenges and learning through play

Interactive activities will stimulate children's logical thinking and curiosity. Through puzzles, games, and themed quizzes, they will learn about the value of money, saving and responsible resource management. Each activity is designed as a step on an exciting educational journey.

The NBM looks forward to welcoming its young friends to this special celebration, where learning will blend harmoniously with play and joy, making 1 June a memorable experience.
