In January-September 2017, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 532.56 million (of which US$ -207.62 in Q III 2017), which worsened by 87.7 percent as compared to January- September 2016. The capital account registered a deficit of US$ 17.88 million (of which US$ -5.46 million in Q III 2017) and the financial account recorded a net capital inflow of US$ 301.96 million (of which US$ 129.44 million in Q III 2017). The international investment position of the Republic of Moldova represented US$ -4,201.41 million at the end of Q III 2017, while the gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova reached US$ 6,742.97 million.

According to final data, in 2016, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 285.58 million (down by 38.9 percent as compared to 2015), the capital account registered a deficit of US$ 20.79 million and the financial account recorded a net inflow of US$ 214.56 million. The international investment position of the Republic of Moldova remained net debit totaling US$ -3,550.57 million at the end of 2016, while the gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova reached US$ 6,235.23 million.

Conform datelor finale, în anul 2016, soldul contului curent al balanței de plăți a Republicii Moldova a înregistrat un deficit de 285.58 mil. USD, în descreștere cu 38.9 la sută față de anul 2015. Contul de capital a consemnat un sold negativ de 20.79 mil. USD, iar contul financiar s-a soldat cu intrări nete de capital în valoare de 214.56 mil. USD. Poziția investițională internațională a Republicii Moldova, la 31.12.2016, a rămas net debitoare și a constituit -3,550.57 mil. USD, iar datoria externă brută a totalizat 6,235.23 mil. USD.

The capital account registered a deficit of US$ 13.16 million (of which US$ 6.47 million in quarter II 2017) and the financial account recorded a net capital inflow of US$ 162.76 million (of which US$ 111.48 million in quarter II 2017). The international investment position of the Republic of Moldova remained net debit, totaling US$ -3,958.60 million at the end of the quarter II 2017, while the gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova reached US$ 6,549.23 million.

În perioada ianuarie-iunie 2017, soldul contului curent al balanței de plăți a Republicii Moldova a înregistrat un deficit de 307.22 mil. USD (din care 187.17 mil. USD în trimestrul II 2017), în creștere cu 77.8 la sută față de cel consemnat în ianuarie-iunie 2016. Contul de capital a consemnat un sold negativ de 13.16 mil. USD (din care 6.47 mil. USD în trimestrul II), iar contul financiar s-a soldat cu intrări nete de capital în valoare de 162.76 mil. USD (111.48 mil. USD în trimestrul II). Poziția investițională internațională a Republicii Moldova, la 30.06.2017, a rămas net debitoare și a constituit -3,958.60 mil. USD, iar datoria externă brută a totalizat 6,549.23 mil. USD.
